Six production systems. One operating flow — purchase order to shipment.
Read the case study →Different domains. Same instinct.
A few things that don't fit in a case study.
At The Tao of Tea, I work across revenue, operations, data, and software. I've taken Faire from zero to 35 retail accounts — Top Shop status every month since launch — secured price increases with Amazon and iHerb, and shipped six production applications spanning forecasting, demand planning, and warehouse operations. I work directly with the founder on expansion, compliance, liquidation, and whatever the business needs next.
When a QuickBooks migration had been stuck for eleven years, I finished it in two weeks without disrupting operations.
The approach is the same everywhere: see the whole system, find the broken loop, build the fix, get it adopted. An MBA to read the business, an MS in Data Science for the analytical depth, AI-assisted development to move from idea to working software quickly. The technology is rarely the point. Building something people actually use is.
Before Tao, I was Chief of Staff at an early-stage startup and spent five years evaluating search quality for machine-learning systems. I grew up in a small town in India and came to the United States on a 90% scholarship. Leaving what I knew to build a life somewhere unfamiliar probably explains my attraction to unfamiliar systems — and my belief that they can be understood.
Outside work: history, civilizations, how individual decisions shape larger events. I read, play chess, hike around Oregon, and love ambitious storytelling — Red Dead Redemption 2 and Halo especially.
Long term, I intend to build a company of my own.
